Mardi Gras

by: Iolanda Scripca

A Tuesday, bloody Tuesday of fat clowns.

Brazil on a pill

Hope you did not forget to take it...

beads in my ears, beads in my eyes

shaken upside down

rumba toomba in a tomb rhythm

make rubbles tumble

and lei sway

Orthodontists smile at crooked fool's gold

Balconies collapse

I relapse

perhaps...

My friend snaps!

This craze haze ends on Wednesdays...
