I remember the utter emptiness and numb shock when my mother died, the grief there and felt but completely removed from my consious thought, I was in shock for a long time. This piece was very well written.

Beautiful sentiments, Iolanda, in your poem this day of reading for me... wonderful expressions of a loss.. I too have lost my Mother.. and maybe u would enjoy reading "Metamorphosis" or "A Mother's Ways" or "Empty Tomb" or "In Memoriam" all tributes to mine in particular but all can relate to the words... thankxxx for sharing and for your lovely comments on my poetry .. u are right... who can do more for a human touch than a kiss... luv...
